Water is a source of inspiration
In our family, opening day of fishing was as big as Christmas or the Fourth of July. Learning to hunt, fish, and forage was available through fathers, mothers, uncles, and friends who learned the same way. People knew where food came from.
Today, it’s more difficult to learn not only the methods but the ethics of and appreciation for all that natures holds. Our best experiences are when we have caught, cooked, and shared a harvest that day—whether it’s been clams, oysters, crab, perch, rockfish, salmon, or steelhead.
Access inspires
through first experiences.
Access builds capability
through exploration and achievement
Access builds confidence
to achieve dreams…
and hints
of who we will become.
Access enables us to
and cook
I love to cook with others outdoors. For fresh seafood, less is more.
I like salt, lemon, and fire, with spices that honor the food.
“I believe that time in nature helps us find our path…”
“to explore…”
“it inspires us to do what is next…”
“to pursue…”
“to master things we care about…”
“at whatever distance behind us or ahead.”
